FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HERE YOU CAN FIND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ON ALL TOPICS:
BIKE REGISTER
Who can sign up?
Anyone who owns a bike.
Why should I sign up?
There are several reasons:
1) Passive prevention. Simply because this is a good time and place to note the details about your bike. If you lose your bike, unlike >90% of unprepared bikers, you'll have the most important information at hand - and thus a chance of getting your bike back.
2) Quick reaction. It takes police up to 10 days to process your stolen bike report. We publish the information immediately and even help you with the police report.
3) Active search. Most importantly, every bike marked as missing or stolen is on our search list, and we actively search for it everywhere we go. For free.
I don't own the bike I registered anymore. What should do?
Just let us know you sold/gave your bike to someone, ideally also the name or email address of the new owner, and we'll take care of the ownership transfer.
BIKE DETECTIVE
Can you guarantee you will find my bike?
No, we cannot (unfortunately). But we know a LOT of places to search, and reliable ways to look for the bike. So despite it is a free service, our chances are actually quite good.
How much does it cost?
Bike Detective Tool is for free.
Like, really for free?
Yes.
But why?
Because we love bikes, hate thieves, and want to be useful for bikers.
BIKE LEGALITY TESTER
Do you share the results with anyone?
No, just with you.
Not even if the bike was stolen?
Not even then, but in such case we strongly recommend you to do the right thing and report the bike to the police.
How do you do it?
We got our ways 🙂 The key thing to verify is the frame number - without it the reliability is low. So make sure you search the bike properly...
